Impact Windows Fort Lauderdale

Elevate Impact Windows installs hurricane impact windows and doors throughout Fort Lauderdale and Broward County. We are a licensed general contractor (CGC1539231), first responder owned, and our local crews handle the permit, the installation and the final inspection.

Broward County is in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone

Like Miami-Dade, Broward County falls inside Florida's High Velocity Hurricane Zone. That means windows and doors installed in Fort Lauderdale must carry a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) or an equivalent HVHZ product approval, and they must be installed to the approved anchoring details. We only install large-missile impact-rated products from PGT, ES Windows, Mr. Glass, ECO, EMC and GIG, and every installation follows the manufacturer's HVHZ drawings.

Salt air, waterfront homes and condos

Fort Lauderdale's canals and beachfront mean salt exposure is a real factor in frame choice. Aluminum impact frames with marine-grade finishes and stainless steel hardware hold up well on the water, and vinyl frames are a strong option further inland. For high-rise and waterfront condos, we supply the NOA documents and insurance certificates your association requires and coordinate access and scheduling with building management.

Insurance and energy savings

Impact-rated windows and doors on every opening can earn an opening protection credit on your windstorm policy, verified by a wind mitigation inspection once the work is complete. Low-E impact glass also reduces heat gain, which cuts cooling costs in Broward's long summer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most. Don't see yours? Give us a call.

Does Fort Lauderdale require Miami-Dade NOA windows?

Yes. Broward County is in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone, so windows and doors must carry a Miami-Dade NOA or an equivalent HVHZ approval to pass inspection. All products we install in Broward meet this requirement.

Do you handle the permit in Broward County?

Yes. We pull the permit with Broward County or your municipality, provide the product approval documents and schedule the final inspection.

Which frame is better near the water in Fort Lauderdale?

Aluminum frames with a marine-grade finish and stainless steel hardware are the usual choice for waterfront and beachfront homes because they resist corrosion. Vinyl frames perform well inland and offer strong insulation. We will recommend the right option at your estimate.

Can I get rid of my shutters?

In most cases, yes. Once every opening has large-missile impact-rated windows and doors, shutters are no longer needed on those openings. Confirm with your insurer so your wind mitigation credit is updated.

Do you install in Fort Lauderdale condos?

Yes. We install impact windows and sliding glass doors in condos and townhomes and handle association approvals, including NOA documents and certificates of insurance.

How far is your office from Fort Lauderdale?
