Impact Windows Miami

Elevate Impact Windows installs hurricane impact windows and doors for homes and businesses across Miami-Dade County, from our headquarters in Miami Springs. We are a licensed general contractor (CGC1539231), first responder owned, and we handle the permit, the installation and the final inspection so you do not have to.

Impact windows built for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone

Miami-Dade County sits inside Florida's High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ), the strictest building code zone in the state. Windows and doors installed here must carry a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) or an equivalent HVHZ approval, and they must be anchored exactly to the approved installation drawings. Every product we install in Miami is NOA-rated for large-missile impact, and our crews install to the manufacturer's HVHZ specifications.

We install impact windows and doors from PGT, ES Windows, Mr. Glass, ECO, EMC and GIG, so you can choose between aluminum and vinyl frames, and between laminated and insulated laminated glass, based on your home and budget.

Where we work in Miami-Dade

Our local team covers the whole county, including:

  • Miami Springs, Doral and Hialeah
  • Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and Key Biscayne
  • Kendall, Pinecrest and Palmetto Bay
  • Miami Beach, North Miami and Aventura
  • Homestead, Cutler Bay and the Redland
  • Brickell and downtown condos (with HOA and association approvals handled)

Lower insurance premiums and energy bills

Replacing all openings with impact-rated windows and doors can qualify your home for an opening protection credit on your windstorm insurance. Your insurer sets the discount, and it is verified through a wind mitigation inspection after the work is complete. Low-E impact glass also blocks a large share of the heat that drives Miami cooling bills, and laminated glass cuts street noise.

Serving all of South Florida: Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and the Florida Keys.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most. Don't see yours? Give us a call.

Do I need Miami-Dade NOA windows in Miami?

Yes. Miami-Dade County is in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone, so windows and doors must carry a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance or an equivalent HVHZ approval to pass inspection. Every product we install in Miami-Dade meets this requirement.

Do you pull the permit for impact windows in Miami?

Yes. We pull the permit with Miami-Dade County or your city, provide the product approval documents, and schedule the final inspection. You receive the closed permit when the job is done.

Can I remove my hurricane shutters after installing impact windows?

In most cases, yes. Impact windows and doors that are rated for large-missile impact provide opening protection on their own, so shutters are no longer required on those openings. Check with your insurer before removing them so your wind mitigation credit is updated.

How long does installation take?

Most single-family homes are installed in one to three days once the windows arrive. Manufacturing lead time runs several weeks after the order is placed, depending on the manufacturer and the number of custom sizes.

Do you work on condos in Miami?

Yes. We install impact windows and sliding doors in condos and townhomes and handle the association approval paperwork, including NOA documents and insurance certificates.

Where is Elevate Impact Windows located?
