Our Warranty
Every window and door installed by Elevate Impact Windows is covered two ways: by the manufacturer's limited product warranty, which we register for you, and by our own one-year workmanship warranty on the installation. Here is what each covers and what you need to do to keep them in force.
Manufacturer product warranty
The windows and doors we install from PGT, ES Windows, Mr. Glass, ECO, EMC and GIG carry each manufacturer's limited warranty on the frame, glass, hardware and finish. Terms differ by brand, product line and finish, and the manufacturer's warranty document controls. We register the product warranty in your name when the job is complete and give you a copy with your closeout documents.
Elevate one-year workmanship warranty
For one year from the date of final inspection, Elevate Impact Windows will correct defects in our installation workmanship at no charge. This covers the work we performed to install the product: anchoring, flashing and sealing of the opening, adjustment of operable units, and the finish work we completed around the opening.
What the workmanship warranty requires
The workmanship warranty applies when the windows and doors have been properly maintained and cleaned. Impact windows and doors in South Florida need routine care to perform as designed:
- Clean glass and frames with mild soap and water; do not use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals
- Keep tracks, sills and weep holes clear of dirt, sand and debris so water drains
- Rinse exterior frames and hardware with fresh water periodically, more often near the coast
- Lubricate rollers and locks with a silicone product as needed
- Inspect caulking and weatherstripping each year and report any gaps to us
What is not covered
- Damage from impact, storms, flooding, fire or other events outside our control
- Damage caused by lack of maintenance, improper cleaning, or chemicals
- Alterations, repairs or adjustments made by anyone other than Elevate Impact Windows
- Normal wear of consumable parts such as weatherstripping
- Product defects, which are handled under the manufacturer's warranty
- Conditions in the surrounding structure that existed before our work
How to make a warranty request
Call (786) 88-GLASS or email sales@elevateimpactwindows.com with your name, the installation address and a description or photo of the issue. We will schedule a visit, determine whether the issue falls under the workmanship warranty or the manufacturer warranty, and handle the manufacturer claim on your behalf when it does.
