Window Replacement

Replacing old windows is one of the highest-return upgrades for a South Florida home. Elevate Impact Windows replaces drafty, foggy or non-impact windows with hurricane-rated units from PGT, ES Windows, Mr. Glass, ECO, EMC and GIG, and our licensed team (CGC1539231) handles the permit, the installation and the final inspection.

Signs it is time to replace your windows

  • Drafts or daylight around the frame
  • Fog or condensation between the panes
  • Sashes that stick, rattle or will not lock
  • Rising cooling bills
  • Non-impact glass that still needs shutters before every storm
  • Corroded or rotted frames, especially near the water

Full-frame replacement, done to code

We remove the old window down to the rough opening, inspect the buck and surrounding structure, and install the new impact window anchored exactly to the manufacturer's approved drawings. This is a full-frame replacement, not an insert, so the new unit is sealed to the structure and passes inspection. Each opening is flashed and sealed against wind-driven rain, and the interior and exterior are finished clean.

Replace one window or the whole house

Some homeowners replace everything at once to qualify for the full insurance opening protection credit and to remove shutters for good. Others replace in phases, starting with the most exposed openings. We will lay out both options at your estimate, and our 20% off offer applies to the entire order either way.

Frame and glass choices

Aluminum frames for strength and coastal durability, or vinyl frames for insulation and low maintenance. Laminated or insulated laminated impact glass, with Low-E coatings to block heat and UV, and tints or obscure glass where you want privacy. Grid patterns and frame colors are available to match the style of your home and HOA requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most. Don't see yours? Give us a call.

Do I have to replace all my windows at once?

No. You can replace in phases. Insurance opening protection credits usually require every opening to be protected, so many homeowners finish the whole house to get the full discount, but a phased plan works too.

How long does window replacement take?

Most homes are completed in one to three days once the windows arrive. Manufacturing lead time runs several weeks after the order is placed.

Will replacement windows match my existing ones?

Yes. We match frame color, grid patterns and style so new windows blend with the rest of the house, and we provide samples for HOA approval.

Do replacement windows need a permit in Florida?

Yes. Window replacement requires a building permit and a final inspection in every South Florida county. We handle both.

Are replacement windows impact-rated?

Every window we install is impact-rated with Florida Product Approval, and most carry a Miami-Dade NOA.

What happens to my old windows?

We remove and haul them away as part of the installation.
